Beautifully written by a knowledgeable resident

I happen to be blessed to own a home in the Quercy. I found this book added immeasurably to my knowledge of the history and nature of the region. the Quercy is a magical area well described by Peter Martin. YOu will believe you have walked back in time. If you plan a visit to this area of France, I highly recommend reading this book before you go, especially if you are a bird watcher.

Reflections on the Quercy

Peter Martin's Reflections on the Quercy was a splendid read. His deep affection for the region is abundantly apparent and he gives remarkable descriptions of the wild life in the region especially of the bird life.
I also found riveting his descriptions of local historical facts/titbits and his gentle tongue in cheek comments on local habits/traditions.
Will please all those who have a love of France and its countryside.
